11 Weeks Today

Here is what the baby is doing this week:
Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

Here is a picture of me at 11 weeks:

I've had comments that I looked too skinny and cropped too much.. so here ya go... hope this makes you feel better cause I sure did like the skinny look.. haha..

My best friend since the third grade had a new little boy on Wednesday.

Cooper Levi Coffman. Here is a picture of the little guy. We both got to hold him and we thought-aww, this is a breeze.. of course all he does is sleep at this point, just give it a few more months and we will see..

George rode in the Goatneck race this morning with my cousins Derek and Randal. They did 27 miles in about 2 hours. I can safely say that I was in bed through the hole thing and thankful to be in air conditioning. Here is a picture of George and his sporty new helmet.

Last night my Mom, Aunt Lisa, and Me went to see Mamma Mia! We loved it! We got there kind of late and had to sit on the second row which caused the pregnant girl to have to make an exit half way through and run to the bathroom. I decided to finish the rest of the movie by standing at the back. I think I got movie motion sickness.

And last but not least, here is an update on our house. I'm praying that the carpet will be layed this week and for the most part we will be done inside. We shall see.....

Don't Drink the Cleburne Water

So I got a scare today because I got a call from my dad that the Cleburne water was bad and not to drink it until further notice. Being pregnant I was scared, but then I heard from all the local gas stations that me, my mom and my aunt were all buying water and ice at, that it just happened today and so drinking yesterday's water was okay. So I've stocked up on bottled water and I think we should be okay.

So I'm 10 weeks and 2 days today. Still having some morning sickness at times, but besides that I'm doing good. We went to Dallas Saturday night to visit Alex, Charlie, Michael and Mindy. We went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory!! MMmm... I Love that place!! It was a good time to be had by all and I sure enjoyed the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake that we got for free since George's fish taco's were delayed. Mindy and Alex bought me the cutest Humpty Dumpty lamp and baby sleeping pillow. I LOVE IT! Thanks guys! My mom and I went shopping Friday and she bought me some maternity clothes at Old Navy to get started. I am trying to hold off until I can't stand it anymore to start wearing them because I know I will get tired of the same 6 pairs of pants and shirts after awhile.
House Update: Here is the carpet we have picked out for the bedrooms and here is the progress on the hall bathroom. I'm giving them 2 more weeks and HOPEFULLY it will for the most part all be complete.

The Power of Prayer!

Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!

There is great news for the Price family today. George's dad had his biopsy and it was not cancerous and they removed it! YAY!! Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers during this time. There is definitely power in prayer!

Mark 11:22-24"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

30 weeks and 4 days to go....

So the title may sound kind of negative, I mean wishing away my time being pregnant with this little one, but when I was hovering over the sink throwing up this morning that is kind of how I felt. I have noticed that I get very nauseated when I have an empty stomach. So once I eat, I get better. Which is hard for me cause I'm not a big snacker and I don't like breakfast. So this is pretty much what I eat every morning on my way to school.

Speaking of school, I am finishing up my teachers certification this month and after August 2nd, I will be a real teacher. Okay, so I felt pretty much like I was a real teacher last year, but now its official and I won't have to let all those "certified" people push me around. I am real and have a year of experience behind me and I survived.

This is a picture of me now. I kind of already have a pooch, but I kind of already had one of those anyways before the whole pregnancy thing, its just that now I can't suck it in. booooo...

And for those of you who are wondering about our house completion.. We are nearly there! I'm thinking by September we will have everything done. I honestly cannot wait to get my new floors in and to have all of the worker guys out of my house everyday. Here is a picture of our finished master bathroom and the beginning of our hall bathroom.

Here is a picture of our finished kitchen...

And in closing this blog today, I would like to ask that each of you please take time and pray for George's dad. He will be having a biopsy tomorrow on his Larynx. Pray that it is nothing and just a simple growth that can be removed with ease. This picture just makes me laugh and can help you see how Big George (as I call him), is all the time. He never takes things too seriously and is always up for a laugh or a joke. I think thats why I get along with him so well and why I fell in love with his jokester of a son.

Sonogram Video

Here is a portion of the sonogram video. You can see the little heart fluttering. This was definitely reality when we saw this. It was beating 160 beats per minute. Dr. Ford kept saying "Oh the baby moved, there it went again".. I was thinking oh great.. we have a little hyperactive child on our hands already, just like his daddy. Obviously didn't get that trait from me, I like naps.

Christmas in July

So I decided to take a picture of all the gifts that we have received from everyone so far. This is by far not all of the gifts, but just a snap shot of what we have gotten. Notice the camo daddy diaper bag from the GREAT Aunt Lisa (I'm just saying you are great, not old by any means) and the two pink girl outfits in the middle. I think my mom and Lisa are trying to tell me something.

I received a package in the mail today from Gramma and Aunt Toni. They bought me my first maternity clothes. Arn't those shirts the coolest? I'm going to be the hippest mom around.

Oh, and we are both getting very educated thanks to all of the magazines and books we have received.
So, I really wasn't sure I should show everyone this, but here is the baby's room. HAHA... We do indeed have a long way to go with this. Hopefully our remodeling with be done soon and this room will be cleared out.

Thanks everyone for your gifts and thoughtfulness! The baby will be 9 weeks on Saturday and boy how time flies when you are having fun. February will be here before we know it!

George and Rach + 1

I have fallen in love with the show John and Kate + 8, so I thought that George and Rach +1 would be an appropriate title (even though it doesn't rhyme) since I am now 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I used to wonder how women kept up with that stuff or how they remembered it, but when its you and your body it seems so natural and easy to remember. Here is our first official picture of Baby Price. I guess the sonogram pictures are a motherly thing too, because before this I could never see anything, but when I look at this I feel as if I can see everything. They gave us a video and I will try to put it on here maybe later this week.

Baby Price's dad is very proud to say the least. He really enjoyed going to the doctor and seeing the baby and the heart beat. He took the picture to work today and I heard that he would send the picture (that he put in his I love my dad frame already) down the tube for everyone to see. This baby is already so loved, not just because of the fact that its due on Valentines Day but that its Gramma, Nonnie, Aunt Toni and Aunt Sara have already bought lots of presents for the little one. Thanks guys!
